Xamip

Launching soon

On sale, near you.

Xamip shows the deals running in shops within walking distance, as they go live.

A shop three doors away can be impossible to find online.

Plenty of small shops have no website, no listing anyone maintains, and no way to tell the street that today they have cut prices. The stock is on the shelf and the discount is real. It just is not anywhere a phone can see it.

So the offer reaches whoever happens to walk past, and nobody else. That is the gap Xamip is being built to close: a place where a shop can say what it has on today, and where someone standing two streets away can read it.

How a review works

You cannot review a shop you never went to.

On most review sites anyone with an account can rate a business they have never seen. Xamip confirms the visit first. That one rule is the whole mechanism.

You go to the shop

The app notices you are within 50 metres of a registered shop and that you have stayed for at least five minutes. Opening the app near a shop is not enough, and neither is walking past it.

50 m · 5 minutes minimum

Two hours later, we ask

Long enough after the visit that you have finished shopping and know what you think. The prompt goes only to people whose visit was actually recorded, so there is nobody else to ask.

2 hours after the visit

Only then can you review it

Every review on Xamip is attached to one confirmed visit, and each visit allows one review. You can review the same shop again a week later, not the same afternoon.

One review per visit · once per shop per 7 days

Four numbers the product actually enforces.

Not projections, and not marketing figures. These are the thresholds written into the app, and they are what makes a Xamip review mean something a rating on any other site does not.
50m

How close you have to be to a shop before a visit can register at all.

5 min

Minimum time there

Walking past does not count. The app looks for a real stop, not a passing signal.

2 hr

Before we ask

Long enough afterwards that you have finished shopping and know what you think.

7 days

Between reviews

You can review the same shop again next week. Not the same afternoon.

Two apps, one platform.

One app finds what is worth walking to. The other puts a shop on the map. Both are in development.

Offers expire by themselves.

Every offer carries its own start and end date. Xamip moves it through three states on those dates, so a discount that finished on Sunday is not still being advertised on Wednesday.

Upcoming

Scheduled ahead of time

A shop can write an offer now and give it a start date. Until that date arrives it is not live and nobody is shown it.

Active

Live, and visible nearby

On its start date the offer goes live and appears to people close to the shop. Anyone following that shop who has allowed notifications hears about it.

Expired

Retires on its own end date

When the end date passes the offer stops being live without the owner having to remember. No manual tidying, and nothing stale left in the feed.

For shop owners

Listing your shop is free, with or without paperwork.

A lot of shops have no GST number and never will. That is not a reason to be invisible, so there are two ways to get verified and both of them end with the same listing.

If you have business documents

GST and PAN

Register the shop with its GSTIN and PAN and the details go in with your listing.

If you have neither

Assisted verification

Submit your Aadhaar and phone number with a photo of yourself, a photo of the shop, a selfie at the shop and a signed declaration. Someone at Xamip reviews it and activates the shop or comes back to you with a reason.

Carts and stalls count

Mark the shop movable if you trade from a cart, stall or van rather than a fixed address.

Open or closed, live

One switch takes the shop in and out of the feed, so nobody walks over to a shutter.

No commission on your sales

Xamip does not take payments or handle your orders, so there is nothing for it to take a cut of.

Offers you write once

Set a discount, the terms and an end date. The offer retires itself when that date passes.

Listing a shop and publishing offers cost nothing. Spotlight, which promotes your shop or a specific offer to a wider area, is a separate paid service, priced per campaign.

Details for owners

What Xamip is not.

It is easy to assume a new app is a version of one you already use. Four things Xamip deliberately does not do.

Not a delivery service
Nothing is shipped and there are no delivery partners. You see what a nearby shop has on and you walk there.
Not a payment platform
You pay the shop, the way you always have. Xamip does not take the money, hold it, or sit in the middle of the sale.
Not an open review site
A review has to be attached to a visit the app confirmed, so an account alone cannot rate a shop it has never been to.
Not a paid listing
Listing a shop and posting offers are free, and the nearby feed is ordered by distance. Spotlight promotion is a separate paid placement, shown as its own banner.

Be there when it opens.
